Project: AK-47 was honored to partner with C+R as a responding organization through which people could actively seek justice for child soldiers. In a very short amount of time, abolitionists gave $7,500 through C+R for our aftercare project in Burma, 100% of which arrived in our mailbox this week! We are extremely grateful, both to C+R and those who gave, as this means food security and sustainability for the child soldiers we’ve rescued in Burma!

Project: AK-47, Brite Revolution and Mikky Ekko are joining forces to bring you the “Rock Your Tags” event! The night will be built on Project: AK-47′s “Wear Their Reality” Dog Tag campaign, in which they’ve set out to rally 100,000 western advocates for the estimated 100,000 child soldiers of Southeast Asia.

We are proud to announce that the guys known as the hardest-working, hardest-touring, most heartfelt metal/hardcore band in the land, War of Ages, have now jumped on board our Artist Alliance and are in full swing as they gear up for their Project: AK-47 tour.

Han See Dei was just 10 years old, studying in his 5th grade class when a commander from the Democratic Karen Buddhist Army (DKBA) took him. “My parents could not pay the money they [the DKBA] asked for, and the teachers dared not say anything for me, so I had to become a soldier,” he said.

From a social justice concern group in California to a massage therapist and spa owner in Spain…to a 9 year old abolitionist here in our home town of Franklin, Tennesse, our friends are finding creative ways to use the resources they already have to get others to join them in advocating and rescuing child soldiers.
